1 Year Manufacturer Warranty for The Tee Clip® V.V Product Line

1-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty (Applies to: The Tee Clip® V.V (V.5) Premium Kit, The Tee Clip® Tether V.V, and The Tee Clip® MINI V.V)

The Tee Clip warrants these products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of delivery of the original order.

What This Warranty Covers

Repair or replacement (at our sole discretion) of any component of the Tee Clip body, Duo Clip / hat clip, integrated or fixed barrel(s), magnetic elements, or divot tool that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

  • The included golf tees (wooden or otherwise).
  • Loss of the included ball marker(s).
  • Loss of the included embedded magnetic divot tool (applies to The Tee Clip® V.V and The Tee Clip® MINI V.V).
  • Barrel breakage, bending, or damage resulting from drops, impacts, crushing, or any form of misuse, abuse, or improper handling of the product.
  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, corrosion from extreme environmental exposure beyond normal golf course use, modifications, or any damage caused by accident, negligence, or use other than as intended.

Note: Replacement divot tools and ball markers may be purchased separately on our website.

How to Make a Claim

Contact us at orders@theteeclip.com with your order number within 365 days of receiving your order. Provide a clear description of the issue (and photos if possible).

The item and all broken or damaged parts must be shipped to Lost Wedge, LLC for inspection prior to any replacement being issued.

If the claim is approved under this warranty, a new item will be provided. Any replacement item is warrantied only for the remaining portion of the original one-year period measured from the original date of delivery of the original order. The warranty expires and is void 365 days after the original date of delivery of the original order.

This limited warranty is the exclusive warranty offered by The Tee Clip / Lost Wedge, LLC and is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by jurisdiction.

How a Battle Against the Golf Gods Created The Tee Clip®

I. THE ANCIENT CURSE OF MT. FAIRWAY

Long before the first prototype was struck in a Southern California workshop, the celestial fairways were ruled by a treacherous pantheon of Golf Gods.

For centuries, these deities kept mortals humbled through petty chaos: poking holes in golf shorts with sharp wooden tees, burying ball markers at the bottom of cluttered pockets, and dropping divot tools into the abyss of deep rough.


Their most cruel relic was the Lost Wedge—a mythical, perfect club forged by Albatrosus, God of Miracles. Legend spoke of a wedge so balanced and divine that anyone who swung it could escape any bunker and land inches from the pin.

Jealous of its power, Hazardus and Divotius banished the weapon into the mortal realm, burying it deep within an impenetrable hazard where no golfer could ever find it.

They decreed that humanity would forever be condemned to endless pocket-fumbling, lost gear, and frustration on the course.

They did not account for Shane Wieters.

II. THE MORTAL WHO DEFIED THE PANTHEON


Shane didn’t grow up in the temples of the gods. He spent a decade managing Guitar Center stores before shifting into finance as a registered investment advisor. When he took up golf, he didn't just see a game—he saw the subtle, chaotic curses of Shankor and Yipocles at work.

Tees falling out of hat brims. Gloved hands digging frantically in pockets while playing partners waited. Essential gear disappearing at the worst possible moments.

Realizing the market offered no clean escape from this divine torment, Shane decided to forge a remedy himself.

In early 2023, he began prototyping at home. Taking inspiration from the legend of the Lost Wedge, he sought to create a mortal relic that could tame the chaos of the course. The gods fought back—early prototypes were clumsy, failing to hold tees under the wrath of Shankor’s vibrations. But Shane persevered, teaching himself precision machining and custom fabrication.

Then, the breakthrough occurred.


Shane forged a multi-use tool from USA-sourced 18-gauge and 20-gauge 304 stainless steel with a #4 brushed finish—a metal strong enough to withstand the tantrums of Divotius and light enough to defy gravity. He engineered patent-pending barrels to lock wooden or plastic tees into place, added a built-in ball marker with an alignment sight line called A.I.M. (Align In Middle) to defeat Yipocles, and integrated a magnetic structure that anchored securely to hat brims, belts, and waistbands.

III. FROM AN IDEA TO A REVOLUTION

On September 9, 2023, Shane founded Lost Wedge®, LLC—naming the company as a symbol of reclaiming the magic the gods had hidden away.

On October 14, 2023, The Tee Clip® went live on theteeclip.com and social platforms. The first sale took three days. Then demand surged—selling out multiple times in the first two months. What started as a personal fix was clearly solving a real problem for thousands of golfers.

Furious that a mortal had brought order to their chaotic game, the gods watched as the product line expanded:

The original relic had proven that mortals could defy divine chaos, but the realm of Mt. Fairway was far from quiet. Sensing their power slipping on the links, the gods sought to undermine the Mortal Wizard’s craft. Shankor sent violent tremors through mortal workbenches, ruining early manual cuts, while Divotius attempted to dull every mechanical blade that dared shape the metal.

Recognizing that basic mortal tools could no longer withstand the divine sabotage, the Wizard Golfer embarked on a daring quest to the summit of Mt. Fairway.

Deep within the inner sanctum of Opticor—The God of Light and Precision, keeper of the celestial beam—lay the secret to absolute accuracy.

Under the cover of rolling fairways, the Wizard stole the divine Light-Forge: a concentrated ray of pure energy capable of slicing through raw steel without a single rough edge.

With the divine light now harnessed in every piece, the V.V collection stands as the ultimate mortal defense—built for real golf, perfected by science, and made in the USA.

Escaping back to his workshop, the Wizard mastered the stolen beam to forge a complete overhaul of the original relic—The Tee Clip® V.V (V.5) Collection.

Guided by the stolen light, the craft evolved:

  • 304 Stainless Steel Construction: Laser scored and cut from USA-sourced steel, then hand-polished and dipped in an alchemical bath of citric acid to forge a hidden protective layer of chromium oxide passivation—rendering every V.V artifact completely impervious to rust, bunker moisture, and divine corrosion.
  • The Integrated Mini Divot Tool: Using the micro-precision laser, a removable divot tool is cut directly from the 304 stainless steel body itself, nesting flush inside the clip with strong neodymium magnets for rapid green repairs.
  • Double-Barrel & FlatBack System: Reinforced fixed barrels designed to hold up to two tees—including impact-resistant FlatBack tees—defying Shankor’s vibrations on the tee box.
